For a long time I had no idea who Snooki was. I had heard of the popular MTV reality show Jersey Shore but had no interest in watching it. I watched an entire season of it which was enough to learn why the younger generation is probably so fascinated with this group of friends. If you are not familiar with the show, Snooki (Nicole Polizzi) is one of the more popular roommates and has recently been all over the news for her .
Why Snooki’s Weight Loss Sort of Matters
Jersey Shore has millions of viewers and Snooki herself has over 1 million followers on Twitter. I’m guessing that a huge portion of her followers are teenage girls. During her journey, she tweeted many posts on how she’s going about getting fit. Here are some examples:

Since many young people idolize her, it is refreshing that her status updates are displaying that she is obviously exercising and it may be safe to assume that she is eating properly as well.
Many young people struggle with weight issues and may often go about it the wrong way because of what they read in the media on how a celebrity has lost weight. Let’s not forget Beyonce’s liquid diet that was popular so many years ago. I’m sure tons of people tried that one with little to no results.
While you may be like me and not care what a celebrity does on a daily basis, I think Snooki’s may help many people realize that there are no shortcuts. Exercise and proper nutrition will always win out in the end.
