Love handles are the type of handles we do not like holding on to. They appear in the oblique section of your torso and you can usually grab on to a nice size chunk on both sides. The most important thing you can do to lose love handles fast (and develop six pack abs) is to eat a healthy diet. In my opinion, the key to a flat stomach, six pack abs, and no more love handles is 90% diet – 10% exercise routines.
Here is why diet is so important:
You can’t spot train your ab area so removing that layer of fat in your torso is essential for losing love handles and developing your abs.
- Lowering your body fat percentage is what displays your lean muscle throughout your body. You can achieve this primarily by eating healthier (avoiding high fat, high sugar, and processed foods.)
- Once you have changed your eating habits, you will begin to see progress more rapidly when you perform fat burning exercises and strength training. Your body will begin burning stored fat more effectively. Remember that the first place you pack on fat is usually the last place to lose it.
Last place to lose fat:
Men – mainly the mid-section (the beer belly, spare tire, love handles, etc.)
Women – unfortunately we deal with more (hips, butt, and thighs.)
Tune up your diet and you are on your way. I can’t suggest any one diet except to say use common sense. If I were to try any diet it would be You: On A Diet: The Owner’s Manual for Waist Management simply because I loved their first book, YOU: The Owner’s Manual: An Insider’s Guide to the Body that Will Make You Healthier and Younger and feel that their “diet” isn’t necessarily a diet but more of a lifestyle change.
Succeeding at losing body fat takes effort but most of all it takes guidance. Tom Venuto’s program Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle, will teach you how to lose fat permanently, without wrecking your metabolism, without drugs, and without supplements.
