I came across this video from the Bar-barians blog and couldn't believe it. I think it is great when kids take an interest in fitness. Do you think this is too much or does this kid's parents have the right idea?

LOL, this video reminds me a lot of me and my dad when I was younger. We would do pushups and bodyweight squats together. Fond memories. I wish we had a chin up bar!

The kid seems to be full of energy and enjoying his chin ups — hopefully fitness becomes a habit that stays with him.

One of my friend’s daughters, who is a gymnast, showed me that she could do one arm chinups (while gripping her wrist). She was only 8, and it was pretty impressive!

Wow. Pretty impressive. I don’t know many 20 year olds who can do that.

That kid is going to be a beast!

My experience growing up around these very strong kids is that they peak very early.

I think this is GREAT! I think his parents have the right idea with this. Calistenics are great for anybody if you ask me. Young, Old and everything in between. I’m gonna check these Bar-Barians out too. I’ve seen these guys before.
