A new reality fitness show premiered tonight on BravoTV called Work Out. It is based on the Beverly Hills premiere gym called Sky Sport & Spa. The star of the show is also the owner named Jackie Warner (from what I've read, Jillian Michael's is also co-owner of the gym as well.) The show focuses on her, the various trainers, and the daily drama of training along with their personal lives. I love fitness shows and I am a FitTV junkie. When I found out about this show, I knew I'd become an instant fan. Although it seems like you'll be learning more about their personal lives than actual fitness information, it is still fun to get a behind the scenes look of how an elite fitness facility actually runs.
I visited the gym's website to read about the trainer's credentials. Many of them included ACE, NESTA, and ISSA. Several trainers had Bachelors degrees but in other areas. It is interesting to see how some personal trainers got into the business when they had careers in other industries. Even I have toyed with the idea of studying for a certification after I get into shape.
The entire season of the show should be very entertaining. If you enjoy reality television, you will enjoy Work Out.
