Trying Fitness says:

    Virtual Fitness Trainers

iSnug iPod ArmbandPersonal trainers can be considered a luxury due to the prices that some of them charge by the hour. However, they are great motivators, knowledgeable, and can teach you the ins-and-outs of fitness. Since most people do not have the means of hiring a personal trainer, it is good to know that a lot of companies are beginning to focus in on virtual trainers. You can find web sites now where you can hire a personal trainer and communicate online. It is inexpensive because you don’t have the physical one on one time but the virtual trainer can still provide the knowledge and motivation that someone may need to keep up with a fitness program.

I’ve just learned of a new program called Podfitness in which you upload your favorite work out songs, choose a personal trainer (some are celebrity trainers), and a program is created for whatever fitness routine you choose such as walking, running, or lifting weights. The personal trainer talks over the music telling you things like “watch your form” or “swing your arms”, etc. You can listen to demos on the site. I think it is a great idea for people who usually work out with some type of mp3 player. At $19.95 a month (as of this writing) it is more affordable and may be just what someone is in search for to stay motivated.
