Are you looking for time saving workouts for the new year? The lack of time continues to be a problem for many individuals. This is why it's a good idea to figure out ways to exercise while saving time, money, and still getting a good workout in several times per week.

Boot Camp Classes - These are very popular because you can get a full body workout in about an hour. You will stay motivated and have fun in a group setting with a motivated instructor. Classes are generally offered in the mornings and evenings and often conducted outdoors.

Time-efficient Workouts - These can include interval training/circuit training type workouts that work the entire body in a minimal amount of time. Check out Craig Ballantyne's Turbulence Training program.

Follow the Trends - Dance based workouts are a great way to keep things fun while getting in a good workout. Zumba is a popular dance workout. Other trends include pole dancing and hoop classes.

Training Online - There are gadgets and online programs that will help track your progress. You can track your calories burned, how much sleep you're getting, etc. Fitbit is a good example of this.

Workout at Home - I started this last summer and quit my gym membership. It saves me tons of time and I workout when I want. My favorite workout programs are produced by Beachbody® (makers of P90X® and others.) You can find a list on my products page at Beachbody products.

Hello! Great article! It’s so hard to find time to fit in a decent workout. Working out at home is great but you have to be focused. Put in a cardio tape, yoga tape, etc. Follow a quick 30 minute routine and still get a great workout. Do some exercises in the morning and when you get home from work and it will start to pay off!! Just move! The Wii is perfect for those who wish to work out at home. Thanks again for article! Have a Happy New Year!

Although I do watch television (to a degree) while I workout, I’ve noticed that watching at a low volume prevents some of the distraction that can come along with it. It helps me mantain my primary focus instead of getting caught up in the program.

Another great way to work exercise into your day is to ride a bike to work. I’ve started doing that recently, and I love it.

Another way of getting a regular exercise without wasting time is to take a couple of brisk walking sessions everyday after work. If your home is just a couple of blocks away from your job, then brisk walking keeps your body muscles firm and your heart healthy.

This topic certainly hits home for me. I have two small kids, and have found it a challenge to find the time to workout. I used to workout about 3-4 times a week at a local gym but haven’t seen the inside of it in about 3 months. I do have some equipment at home but it seems that everytime I get ready to use it, I’m interrupted. I said I would make a better effort in the New Year but have yet to start back.
