Motivational Fitness Blogs

by Eartha

There are some great fitness blogs on the web and there are a few that I read daily. I need all the motivation I can get so it's great to read how other people deal with fitness on a regular basis. Many times, their posts are just the motivation I need to get me going. I also learn a lot from these blogs so definitely check them out:

Fitness Cure - I really enjoy this blog because it is so motivational. The author (Maria Kang) knows about the fitness industry and shares a lot of her experience.

Workin' On My Fitness - Just like the tag line "A chick wanting to be fit" is what this blog is about. Sue's posts are about her day to day challenges of getting fit. I think almost all of us can relate to that. She also posts a lot of helpful info too.

The Fit Club - I am learning a lot from this blog. Scott has some very helpful posts and I enjoy his "Best Diet Ever" posts.

Strong Lifts - This is quickly becoming one of my favorite blogs since I've never really done much strength training. Mehdi has great info for beginners as well as experienced strength trainers. You are sure to learn something new.

I will share more as I come across them. Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe!

I guess I’m after a bit of a motivational booster. I am 28, female, 68kg, 165cms and have been unhappy with the dieting I’ve tried. I was never too good with the exercise side of things, but my food intake is strictly monitored. Recently, my life direction has changed and I am now riding 20kms a day (10kms to school, 10kms back home), 4 days a week, but have not yet seen any results/improvement. Coupled with my strict diet, I am counting on this large increase in exercise to really help me out on the path of triming down, strengthening up and overall fitness to help me to where I want to be. I’m losing confidence that I will ever acheive this. I’m following the rules, right? Surely this will work? I’m doubting and am looking for reassurance.

This link is sure to help you get motivated! These are blogs written by real women going through making changes from the inside. They are looking to improve things like blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar levels… without focusing on weight. The participants talk about the changes they are making in their lives and share their accomplishments and their struggles. It’s called Health Quest and is an event on the internet radio talk show, On the HomeStretch. You will love it!

I am 22 years old. Last year I weighed 300 lbs. After 9 months I was able to bring my weight down to 220 with some help from G & G fitness and the Life Fitness X3 elliptical I used. I also learned the importance of heart monitoring. Now I want to build some muscle. I would be exstatic to gain about 1o lbs with still keeping my body fat percentage down.

I love reading blogs that are not purely directed at health or rigorous workouts. I prefer something light, motivational, inspiring and will allow me to do my own thing. :)

Hey everyone! Love what you are all doing Keep it up! I am currently trying to help 2 of my cousins fight obesity and get in shape and I am glad I found good blogs to tell them about. I also started a website ( http://www.obesity.net ) to provide them with info but its is still undergoing construction. I would appreciate some feed back if you had some time. Thanks and God bless.
