Lose Fat Effectively

Most of us do not have time to devote 8 to 10 hours per week exercising. This is probably why many people search for the “quick fix” or fast solution to losing weight. Our society loves everything fast. I admit, I fall into that category as well. Who wouldn’t want to lose weight quickly? I’ve learned that there is no fast weight loss secret out there. It took time to put on the extra pounds so in turn, it will take time to shed them.
There are ways to lose fat effectively without hours upon hours spent at the gym and without spending tons of money on fad diets that never seem to work anyway.
Start Eating More
Don’t get the wrong idea here! By eating more, it means eating more of the right foods. A lot of bodybuilders use the term “eating clean” and it refers to eating foods that are nutrient-dense. Foods that are as close to nature as possible - fruits, veggies, healthy fats, lean proteins. If you want a guide to eating clean, I highly recommend Tosca Reno’s book The Eat-Clean Diet: Fast Fat-Loss that lasts Forever! as well as her cookbook The Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook: Great-Tasting Recipes That Keep you Lean. I have already started to “eat clean” and I have noticed I have much more energy throughout the day.
Don’t Focus So Much on Cardio
When I got back into working out, I’d spend a majority of my time doing cardio. There is nothing wrong with cardio and we certainly do need it but I was neglecting the rest of my body. I had to think back to the time when I was in the best shape of my life. Most of the exercising I did consisted of strength training exercises using my own body weight.
What I love about strength training is that you don’t have to have access to fancy weight machines. You can use your own body weight and interval training. A 45 minute strength training session combined with interval exercises does wonders compared to simply 45 minutes spent on a cardio machine. Craig Ballantyne’s Turbulence Training is a good program for effectively burning fat and building muscle in 45 minutes 3 days a week.
Starting with the two methods above is a great base to build upon for effective fat loss.

If you burn off more calories than you eat, you lose weight. So basically if you do not exercise you will put on weight. This may be because you find yourself bored and eat. Find an activity you enjoy, this may be Salsa or Ceroc, I would not recommend the gym, not many keep this up, find an activity ,something you enjoy the weight will fall off.
