If you are not familiar with who Jillian Michaels is, she was one of the personal trainers on the show “The Biggest Loser.” I just found out today about her radio show on LA’s KFI640. I will be tuning in on Sunday mornings to find out what it’s all about and to listen for her advice on staying fit. There are rarely any fitness related talk radio shows on the am dials that I know of so this is a nice change of pace from the daily news and political talk.
I ran 3 miles today and just like the last time I ran it, it took a lot out of me. Maybe I need to incorporate more energy type foods to keep me going through the rest of the day. I feel excellent after the run because my motivation is high and I’m excited that I reached my goal. After lunch however, I’m feeling drained and ready to take a nap.
It could just be more adjustment on my part as I am not used to running 3 miles quite yet. It is still a bit of a struggle but I get it done. I’m going to run it tomorrow and Sunday as well. Now, as for my eating, I think I’ve done very well this week. I’ve eaten light breakfasts of either oatmeal or cereal. Lunch consisted of a sandwich, vegetable, handful of baked Lays, and a piece of fruit. Dinner was something protein based and with a vegetable. My water intake is great, holding study at 64 oz a day.
I haven’t dropped any significant weight but I’m starting to not worry about it so much and just keep focusing on my exercising. I’m sure any weight changes will come in time. I’m more happy about my cardio and weight training improvements.
