Jackie Warner’s Diet Tips for Sky Lab Clients
![]()
Although many of the Workout episodes deal mostly with drama, I enjoy the moments when parts of the show actually deal with health and fitness. Last night’s episode briefly showed Jackie and her Sky Lab clients in a supermarket. Jackie showed the group what types of foods they should shop for in order to eat healthier and lose weight. She pointed out how she receives more questions about diet than working out. That makes sense because changing your eating habits tends to be a lot more difficult than learning new exercises.
Jackie is big on lowering sugar intake and pointed out how many canned foods have way too much sugar content in them. The same holds true for many of the foods we eat. She also made a point about having to flavor foods naturally since she has the Sky Lab folks on a very low-fat diet. Fresh salsa was used as an example to flavor foods and I agree. My mom makes fresh salsa all the time and I take as much as I can home with me. I use it in almost everything - tuna sandwiches, omelettes, quesadillas, etc.
One thing for sure, she is right about having to be disciplined when it comes to eating. Portion control and choosing the right foods is the hardest part of staying fit for a majority of people.
Some quick tips that I use to eat healthier include:
- Eat out less (I try to keep it to once a week)
- Do your food shopping for the entire week on Sundays
- Cook large meals on Sundays and Wednesdays to save time and have meals to eat all week
- Stock up on fruit to satisfy the sweet cravings
- Completely cut out sugary drinks (soda, ice tea, etc.)

I couldn’t agree more. Making it fresh is just a matter of dicing up some onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, and adding cilantro. If you make a nice size batch of it, you have it ready to add to almost anything.
I’m glad I found this website. The show is great when it comes to the drama, but it also helps out in my workout routinge and cleaning up my act when it comes to nutrition. Great job!
I absolutely love the show and I am really glad I found this site as well. The show keeps me going and helps to put things in perspective. I absolutely love Jackie and wish she was my trainer or that my trainer would be like her and push me a bit more then what they do.
Does anybody know the name of the pre-package Whole FOOD delivery service she uses for her clients? (i thought it was ____ Care??) I’m hoping that the company might offer online services and deliver to states outside of CA.
I’ve been looking for the food delivery company as well…found it! Sunfare is the company. Delivery is limited to LA and AZ
I used to love this show until the May 6th episode. Jackie Warner is a horrible person for the way she treated the client who is a breast cancer survivor. She treated the situation as if it was not a big deal and showed no remorse for the horrible comments that were said by her assistant. I will NEVER watch this show again, nor purchase any of her products. She is a disgusting, arrogant and self-centered person. I think that Peeler did the right thing by sticking up for someone who has gone through such a difficult thing. I hope that he becomes a successful trainer else where.
Peeler is a trouble making drama king and worst type of person to have work for you. If he conducts himself elsewhere as he did on the show, he can look forward to more firings - only sooner. His employer was more patient with his insolence than I’d have ever been. In fact most employees there ride a fine line because she makes the mistake of getting too close and tries to be friends with them. In business management there is no room for this or having intimate relationships with those at work. Professionalism is sorely lacking all around at that gym. For that matter, dating among trainers should be deeply discouraged as it causes problems as well. Anyone involved at work risks being fired when their personal lives begin to interfere with their jobs. Nobody likes working around people who have no life outside of work or who drag them into what should be their private dramas.
Jackie said nothing to the client with breast cancer, it was her assistant who owed the apology, although Jackie should have also made a point of contacting her client and apologizing for the insensitivity shown her. Peeler should have minded his own business as usual.
What has happened to everyone that they have lost all manners and sense of decency? It’s just plain sad, but at least a good point was made that people need to be more careful with how they speak about one another as we never know them so well or the effect it might have on them. It took guts to air that portion of the show and I applaud them for this.
I loved the dieting portion of the show - the tip about salsa was so on point - one of the most flavorful and low cal seasoning/topping/ingredient ever.
