Jack LaLanne Takes on Internet Radio
New here? You may want to subscribe to Trying Fitness by Email. Here are a few posts to get you started:
Jack LaLanne is often referred to as the “godfather of fitness.” He is now 93 years of age and still going strong. His fitness show aired for a record 34 years. He invented many of the fitness equipment used in gyms today such as leg extension machines, pulley machines using cables, weight selectors, and was the original inventor of the “Smith machine.” Jack exercises 7 days a week for 2 hours a day. Needless to say, fitness is his life.
Now Jack will be helping people get into shape with a new internet radio show. The show will also feature his wife Elaine and his grandnephew who is a personal trainer. I enjoyed reading Jack’s answer to an interview question below:
Exercise is king. Nutrition is queen. Together, you’ve got a kingdom. If you have a Corvette, you don’t put water in the tank. The human machine deserves the same treatment. No cake, pies, ice cream, soda. Your hair is out of shape. Your skin is terrible. Your elimination is bad. The wrong fuel in the human machine does that. I am going to motivate people to eat better.
