I am in Florida and I'm trying to find a homemade protein bar that won't turn into mush when it's been in my car for an hour. I used to buy EAS bars that looked like partially dehydrated peanut butter, which held up well down here, but I can't find anything now that doesn't have a chocolate layer that is going to melt. Thank you.

I just made protein bars a few weeks ago; next time, I might add wheat germ and honey, those are good ideas.

While that recipe may be good, I can't have that much sugar (honey) and the pb seems a little much as well.

I just made the following recipe myself, and love it!
