Hardee's Breakfast Burrito

My first reaction when reading about Hardee’s new breakfast burrito was “Wow.” What you see pictured is the new Country Breakfast Burrito consisting of two egg omelets filled with bacon, sausage, diced ham, cheddar cheese, hash browns and sausage gravy, all wrapped inside a flour tortilla. It tips the scales at a whopping 920 calories and 60 grams of fat!

According to Hardee’s, the goal is to “fill you up.” It will fill you up indeed, but it doesn’t leave room to eat much of anything else when the average person eats anywhere from 1500 – 2000 calories to live. A person is sure to overeat the rest of the day by filling up on a meal like that for breakfast. There are so many better heart healthy choices out there.

Gosh, I don’t think I could stomach that even if I forced myself to.
