Exercising in the Winter

Winter has officially started as of December 21st and fortunately for me, by living in southern California, we don’t really experience “winter” in the sense of snow and ice. The temperature does drop in the evenings - enough to have at least two thick blankets on your bed. Other than that, exercising during this season is not much of a hassle.
However, for those of you around the country who do deal with freezing temperatures, there are a several ways to keep motivated and exercise during the winter. They Mayo Clinic web site has a great article listing many creative ways to stay fit in the cold.
