EatSmart Precision GoFit Digital Body Fat Bathroom Scale Review

by Eartha

Disclosure: This scale was sent to me for review, however, I am under no obligation to provide a positive review. The following is my personal opinion.

Many people may not have an opinion about bathroom scales. They either work or they don't work. I am the same way. I want a bathroom scale that tells me my weight and not much else. I thought that's all a scale needed to do until I tried the newest EatSmart Precision GetFit Digital Body Fat Scale. Yet, once I began using the scale and finding out all of the information it provided besides just my weight, I felt more knowledgeable about my body.

What This Scale Can Do

Unlike a typical scale that only measures weight, this scale can measure weight, body fat, body water, body muscle and bone mass using a new ITO BIA technology. It can store personal data for up to 8 users using proprietary automatic user identification technology. What I also really like about this scale is the "step on" feature which means you just step on the scale to get your readings. It doesn't require tapping to turn on.

Another thing I like about this scale is that it looks really sleek. It's glossy and black with a large 3.5" blue LCD display with white backlight. It powers off automatically and only requires 4 AAA batteries which are included.

How This Scale Works

This is taken directly from the user's manual:

This bathroom scale uses BIA (bio-electrical impedance analysis) technology by imputing information of gender, height, age, activity level and your weight to calculate body fitness. In bare feet, this technology sends a low-level electrical signal through your body fat and then measures the resistance the signal encounters. This signal is perfectly safe and will not be felt. The lower the body fat, the faster the signal will travel.

You will be given a final reading of your weight, body fat percentage, togal body water, muscle mass, and bone mass. This scale stores up to 8 different users' personal profiles and will be able to recognize these users as soon as they step onto the scale.

For most people, a regular bathroom scale may be enough, but once you have a scale such as this one that can provide so much information, you really won't want to go back to a regular scale.
