Agree with Cliff. If you have no one to hold your feet you can also put a box under your feet and actually jump to get you chin over the bar. As you progress get a smaller box thus meaning you get less out of your jump.

Good post :)

I agree with Rahim and Cliff. They do take a bit of getting into, but if you can stay motivated they are great for building muscle.

These are awesome! I love having workout equipment at home. If you guys like the pull up bars you might also like resistance bands. there are endless amounts of exercises with resistance bands. The great thing about the resistance bands are that you can sneak as many routines between TV commercials.

Nice Post,

Pull up bars are very good workout for upper body not forgetting the abs and core.

What i like is the amount of variations which you can do when working outwith one.

Martial artist's use it for building strength in their grips, plus wrapping a towel over the bar and holding on to either side to then pull yourself up with head to one side of the bar then the other and so on.

All the best,

Richard

The removable pull up bars work great. The only problem that I've noticed with them is that they usually make slight indentations in the door frame. Not really a big deal, though.

Pull ups and pull up bars are really good for building muscle. The only drawback is that not everyone is strong enough to do pull ups when they first start working out. Having someone hold your feet while you do pull ups can be helpful. That way, you're not pulling your entire body weight.

I bought one about 2 years ago and I love it. I use it everyother day to alternate between my push and pull workouts. How often a day would you say you can do pushups without over stressing your muscles?
