Can You Workout Without a Gym?

by Eartha

You can absolutely workout without a gym. In fact, the minimum you would need are some dumbbells, a stability ball, and resistance bands. I also recommend a good exercise DVD to follow along with and Gilad: Ultimate Body Sculpt Series - Cuts & Curves is a great one to start out with.

You don't need to have fancy equipment or join a gym to get in a great workout. You can use your own body weight as resistance along with dumbbells and resistance bands for strength training. Keep things simple if you're a beginner. Cardio workouts could start off with walking for 30 minutes and then building up to a light jog when you're able. Strength training can all be done with your own body weight at first incoporating things such as push ups, squats, and crunches.

Many people are under the impression that you must train hard to get in shape. Working out three times a week for at least 45 minutes to an hour can do wonders for your physical fitness. No more gym excuses for not exercising. You don't need to join a gym to start getting into shape.
