Alternative Fitness: Paintball

There is a paintball field not too far from where I live and a few of my friends have participated. I have yet to try but I've seen one of my friends come back from a day of paintball with bruises. That didn't stop her though - she absolutely loves it and goes every chance she gets.

It has to be the adrenaline rush and if you think about it, paintball is not only a fun activity, but you get in an awesome workout as well. The rules of the game are simple: shoot your enemy and don't get shot. With that in mind, you are doing a lot of running, ducking, and diving. That sounds like a great cardio workout to me!

Beware though, you'll need to wear some thick-padded layered clothing. I've read that the balls from the paintball guns can shoot out as fast as 212 mph. Paintball is a great idea if you're looking to get out of your normal fitness routine.
